Weekend Review

Good morning there! I’m currently enjoying the sun and drinking a Diet Coke and I couldn’t be happier about it. Sometimes it’s the simple things in life.

I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was more or less pretty relaxed. I can’t complain when my biggest decision to be made was what to order at Starbucks. Which I MUST add, that I had my first drink in 12 days!! Yep, totally relapsed but it was totally worth it.

One thing that had me over the moon, was that my best friend and her family are in Paris for the week and she knows me so well that she sent me this picture on Saturday. I mean, Louis Vuitton in Paris? Does it get any more perfect?? #dreams #goals

I also started reading a new Lianne Moriarty book. She is quickly becoming my favorite author. I read What Alice Forgot on our honeymoon and have had The Husband’s Secret on my reading list for quite some time and finally got around to buy it. It’s SO, SO, SOOOOO good so far. Make sure you have enough time to read it all because you won’t be able to put it down.

Ryan and I got a new grill a couple weeks ago and we have been using almost every night. Except I’m getting sick of the same old chicken breasts on it. Any one have any good, summer recipes for the grill? I’d love to try something new!

Speaking of grilling out, I made the best tasting and easiest pasta salad Saturday. Seriously. 5 ingredients and you’re going to have the best tasting pasta salad for your next party.

Ingredients:

Newmann’s Own Lite Balasamic Salad Dressing

Box of Farfelle noodles

Mini Mozzarella Balls (usually found in the specialty cheese section)

Basil (a fresh basil plant is best!)

Cherry Tomatoes cut in halves

Directions: Cook noodles and drain. Set inside fridge to cool. Cut your cherry tomatoes in half and set aside. Chop up a 1/4 cup of basil leaves and add to your tomatoes. Once your noodles are cool, mix in your tomatoes and basil mixture and your mozzarella cheese balls. Then add your salad dressing to the top. I usually only use half a bottle. Cover your bowl and give it a good shake to mix and coat all your ingredients. Let it cool in the fridge for at least an hour and enjoy (it’s even better if you let it sit overnight)! **You really want to make sure your noodles are cool before you add your mozzarella, you don’t want the cheese to start melting!*

**One more thing before you go, tomorrow I will be hosting a giveaway from Stella & Dot! Come back tomorrow for more details and a chance to win!!**

Friday Favorites!!!

sd

What a week it has been! I am beyond words to know that it is Friday and I have a whole weekend to relax in good health. Last week I had a little medical procedure done and I am finally starting to feel back to normal after it. I have Crohn’s Disease and I will save all of that super, exciting, information for another day!

Today, I have something that’s actually super fun and exciting and that’s why it’s this weeks FAVORITE!!

Nope, not preggo. Thank the Lord. Love babies, don’t love babies that have to sleep at home with me and I have to wake up in the middle of the night for them. No ma’am. I like my sleep uninterrupted.

Anyway, while I am NOT preggo, I am a new Stella & Dot Stylist! Whoo hoo!! You guys, this has been a long time coming and I have finally convinced my husband that it’s going to be totally worth the small investment. He obliged because, #happywifehappylife

I first wanted to become a Stylist way back in 2013 when Stella & Dot first started to get popular, but for whatever reason I just never followed through with it. Then I told myself after the wedding I would do it… Also, never followed through with it. Then with the time off after last weeks procedure, I started I looking into it more and finally I said, YOLO. No, I really didn’t say that. I actually decided that it was time to do something in life that I actually loved and wanted to do and took the leap. And that leads me to today where I can announce that I AM A STELLA & DOT STYLIST!

Now, if you’re not familiar with the brand, this is what the S&D website has to say about the start-up:

OUR CEO and FOUNDER Jessica Herrin, a mother of two and mentor to many, had a vision to create a new kind of company that would offer today’s busy woman a career alternative. As co-founder of WeddingChannel.com (yes, you saw her on Oprah!), Jessica wanted to use her savvy to help solve the modern woman’s dilemma: achieving success and balance through a career you love. Never one to go with the status quo, Jessica felt that the typical home based business just didn’t deliver. With lackluster product, high pressure sales tactics, and old school marketing methods, inventory was ending up in people’s closets with little profit in their pockets.

Jessica’s vision called for an entirely new concept that could guarantee women flexibility, reward, style, profit and fun. With an irresistible product and exceedingly personal service, a proven formula for passionate earning and personal success was born.

Which brings me here today! And I am so, so, so excited to start this new journey! If you have any questions or want to order, just visit my site HERE and check out all the sweet duds!
