Hi-atus!

Definitely don’t get on here as much as I used to! But after recent blog stalking on other blogs, I got inspired to do a little post… About? Not positive, but stay tuned and you’ll be sure to find out!

First things first, I’ve currently been trying to survive “morning” sickness the last 4 weeks, because well, I’m prego. Who ever came up with the name Morning Sickness was seriously into some kind of sick jokes. This is the worst! It last’s all day and I’m sure to up chuck my lunch around 4 every day. Hey, at least it’s consistent.

Second, I heard of this thing called the N Sale? Is anybody else familiar with this term? I kid, of course. I want my ashes spread at Nordstrom so I’m clearly a member of the N Sale Pre-Sale. I didn’t buy much this year, I guess I need to start saving for a baby. I heard they’re expensive? Well, that’s just my kind of taste so it’s fitting.

I still have my eye on a pair of boots and slippers for the fall. I think those should still fit around month 9 of pregnancy. Otherwise, I got a pair of leggings and a top from BP. Good enough for me.

We’re also on the hunt for a house! Which is so exciting and stressful at the same time. There’s nothing more disappointing than losing out on the home of your dreams. Just have to stay positive and think that there’s a better place out there.

And now I must go because my dog won’t stop licking my hand while I type and I’m afraid if I don’t go now, I will not make it to the bathroom in time.

xo, B

5 Months Post-Op

Well, hello. It’s been some time since I’ve sat down to write here – actually, that’s kind of a complete lie because I’ve started a few blog posts here and there but never actually finished them or posted them. Obviously.

The last time I wrote, I think I was just about to head in for a surgery for my Crohn’s Disease. I’ve definitely experienced more exciting and fun things in life. I can’t remember too much of the recovery because it was 5 months ago and I was completely hopped up on Percocet. It’s a wonderful drug. I don’t think the recovery was all too bad because I was hanging up new curtains in our kitchen a week later. Climbing around on a ladder. Unsupervised. On painkillers. With a 5 inch, freshly cut incision on my belly is really the best idea out there, right?

But I survived.

I thought this blog deserved a little update and I’m thinking about taking it in a new direction to directly correlate with my Crohn’s Disease. Of course, I’m still going to talk makeup and fashion, but I have realized that there is really a lack of blogs out there to help girls like me who are battling Crohn’s Disease and chronic illnesses daily. Sometime’s we feel alone and I kind of want to create a space where we can talk openly and freely about things we all battle daily that others might not understand. It might be fun?

Let me know in the comments!
