Lust List: Anthropologie

I’ve long been a fan of Anthropologie and it’s eclectic style. You never exactly what you’re going to find but you know you’re going to find something that you love and will think about it long after you left the store.

The few pieces I have owned from them have gotten me tons of compliments from people I know and love, to mere strangers on the street. See, fashion can bring people together!

Here are just a few things I’m eying up from them at this moment.. But mostly those shoes… GASP.

Lust List

  1. Those Jeffrey Campbell booties are just ah-maze-ing.
  2. You never go wrong with a neutral off the shoulder sweater.
  3. I’ve heard rave reviews about Current/Elliot jeans and these look fantastic.
  4. The detail in this necklace will add life to any plain top.
  5. Winter is here and you need something to keep those little ears warm. Might as well make it a cute hat! The black is pretty too.
  6. I love the simplicity of this gold knotted ring. Perfect for the pointer finger.

Weekend Review

Friday afternoon I received my flu shot and I’m pretty sure that’s what catered to my 102 temperature, nauseating headache and my non-stop sleeping this weekend. Fun times!

I managed to push myself on Saturday morning and set up some Christmas decorations, thinking that my headache would dissipate after some movement and productivity. No such luck. So I got to spend my time on the couch admiring the Christmas decorations I slaved over set up in 5 minutes.

A few weekends ago, I went to TJ Maxx and found myself loving their home goods section. I seriously can’t contain myself when I’m there. They have the best selection for decorations, especially, seasonal items like the framed linen canvas above. The stockings are from Pottery Barn last Christmas and I got the stocking holders from Hobby Lobby after Christmas. They’re not the cutest but they we’re a $1.75 each, so why not!

I also picked up this ‘Believe’ pillow at TJ Maxx and I looooove it. Oddly enough it’s the only thing Ryan said he liked of my Christmas decorations. I guess he’s not a fan of my decorating.

I always love this time of year and setting up Christmas decorations, I hate when they have to come down – the house feels so empty and sad. But this little vignette is so fun to set up with every holiday, it’s definitely becoming increasingly more fun to re-do with the changing seasons and I’m already scheming for what I can do for Valentine’s Day… But I might just hold off and enjoy this present season for now!

Gift Guide: The Men

Men. They are always the hardest people to buy for in my opinion. Maybe it’s because the men in my life aren’t materialistic or buy the things they want throughout the year and never have anything on their want list come Christmas. Or maybe I can’t afford the big toys that they really want ( ATV’s, golf carts, tractors, etc). Whatever the case is, they are complex creatures when it comes to gifts and I HATE shopping for them.

There, I said it. I said I hate shopping.

Lucky for you (and me), I have been keeping a mental list and noting all the things Ryan has said he’s wanted throughout the year! They vary in price ranges so there is sure to be something on this list that is budget friendly and your man will love too!

Herschel Supply Co.

Lonsdale Duffle

For whatever reason I got their catalog in the mail in summer and Ryan paged through it and loved their stuff! There is something about the line that is just awesome. You may have seen it online at Nordstrom but they only carry a small collection of stuff, check out the full site! I can’t place my finger on why we love it, but it really is great line of bags and accessories for travel or bumming around.

Beats by Dre Wireless Headphones

If you have a loved one who loves the gym as much as my husband, then they need these. Headphones are essential to any workout, but the wireless ones are the one thing you don’t know how much you need until you have them. You will not know what you did before these were in your possession. I promise, anyone will love this gift.

Whiskey of the Month Club

Making spirits bright!! Did you see what I did there? Cue the holiday cheese-fest.

Last year for Ryan’s birthday I signed him up for a whiskey of the month club through Tasters Club. Each month they send him a different bottle of whiskey to try out and he loves it! It gets delivered right to the recipients door and you’re done! It’s a fun way to try new types of whiskey and it’s like they get a gift every month!

There are different memberships you can sign up for ranging from 3, 6 or 12 month subscriptions and if whiskey isn’t your favorite, they also have rum or tequila.

Pick your poison.

**Anyone who signs up between now and Christmas, will receive a personalized Glencairn glass with any new membership**

GoPro Camera

If you have a dare devil or adventure seeker in your life, they may love a GoPro. These cameras for the kid at heart who just can’t say no to fun and want to document life in the fast lane. They are durable and waterproof and used by extreme sportsman/woman all over! Ryan got hooked on these after a friend of his documented his time at the PGA last summer and the video he made was quite impressive!

The North Face

Men of all ages and sizes love this favorite fleece. It’s comes in numerous colors and is easy to throw on while sitting around the house, running errands, long road trips or wearing to the gym. They’re warm and soft and make the perfect gift!
